How to – Healthy Takeoff: Travel Medicine Prescriptions

How It Works

We offer Asynchronous online Travel Medicine consultations, recommendations and prescriptions for vaccines and prophylactic (prevention) medications for residents over age 17 years old in the state of Florida. Prior to your international travel, check our free vaccine recommendations, fill out a questionnaire, then sign up and pay $50- for an Asynchronous consultation with a Physician.

STEP 1 (OPTIONAL): CHECK OUT VACCINE RECOMMENDATION LIST

Check out the vaccine recommendations for each of your travel destinations and your travel plans. These answers will help determine if you need prescriptions for vaccines and malaria prophylaxis. Record the recommendations and compare them with your vaccination history. If you do not need any prescriptions, you’re done. Have a great trip!

STEP 2: BOOK CONSULTATION

If you know you need prescriptions, or if you would prefer to have your plans reviewed and recommendations given, and you are 18 years or older in the state of Florida, book consultation request. You will be charged $50- at this point for the consultation.

STEP 3: YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH A QUESTIONNAIRE. FILL OUT AND SUBMIT THE QUESTIONNAIRE FOR OUR PHYSICIANS TO REVIEW

Check your email. You will need to fill out the Questionnaire and let us know about your health history, your travel plans, your vaccination history, and your chosen, local pharmacy. Your information will be sent to one of our Physicians for review.

The pharmacy must be in the state of Florida. You can determine which pharmacies in your area offer your needed vaccines and medications and at what price before entering this information.

Our Physicians will review your information and order prescriptions for vaccines and malaria prophylaxis, as needed.

STEP 4: YOU WILL RECEIVE AN ALERT ONCE CONSULTATION IS COMPLETED

Our system will alert you that our Travel Medicine Physician has reviewed your consultation information and has ordered your prescriptions.

STEP 5: VISIT THE PHARMACY FOR YOUR VACCINATIONS AND YOUR MEDICATIONS

You will need to find out from your pharmacy if you need to schedule your vaccines or if you can walk-in. The licensed Pharmacists will give you your ordered vaccines, update your vaccine cards, and give you the ordered prescriptions.

STEP 6: GO ON YOUR TRIP
